At the lower secondary level, a school-based, MOE-endorsed, innovative curriculum – Aesthetics Without Borders (AWoB) – was rolled out in 2006.  It emphasizes the interdisciplinary approach to aesthetics to prevent overlapping contents taught by these subjects.  The Aesthetics team designed a modules which gives emphasizes skills over content and “thinking skills” using TRIZ4U, an internationally recognized engineering Russian thinking tool was introduced.  With the white space created from extracting the commonalities of the 4 subjects, new modules were introduced.  To day our Secondary 1 and 2 students can look forward to movie making, digital photography and animation as part of their curriculum.  There is also a heavy use of IT to prepare students for the current realities of the world they will be going out to.
